Northern South Park (NSP) Draft LDRs released

After much anticipation, the draft land development regulations (LDRs) have been released for NSP. Even after advocating for meaningful integration and an enforceable phasing plan for years, we still need to stay vigilant to ensure that the LDRs will create the community we envision for NSP. The County Planning Commission will be reviewing these LDRs at their meeting on Monday, 11/13 at 6pm. You can attend in person at 200 S. Willow and share a comment or email the Commission at planningcom@tetoncountywy.gov.

Regulatory Reduction Task Force (RRT) Draft Bills Released

This week, the state Regulatory Reduction Task Force released four draft bills that could be considered during the upcoming legislative session. While we will be watching all of the housing-related bills next year, we are especially concerned about the draft mitigation bill. See our full statement on this issue here, and click on “meeting materials” here to see the bills drafted by the task force.

Our Policy Chair Kelsey Yarzab also penned a Letter to the Editor about the importance of the mitigation tool published in the paper this month.

90 Virginian Way Updates

The Request for Proposal draft for 90 Virginian Way is up for discussion next week for the joint Town and County meeting. We want to make sure this development prioritizes community housing for locals who need homes most. The estimated cost of this development is around $100 million; the $20 million we passed last fall via SPET is a huge step forward, but there will need to be more investments (public or private!) to make this project pencil.

Thank You Old Bill’s Supporters!

We weren’t sure what to expect going into our first giving season as the only housing advocacy group in the region—but all of our supporters delivered! We are so energized and inspired by our community’s turnout for all of our important local groups, and especially heartened by your investment in our work.

Hats off to everyone who spread the word, donated, and showed up on Run Day—and of course to the Community Foundation for facilitating such an important community tradition.

Upcoming Stilson Open House

We’ve been hearing rumblings about development at Stilson for a long time, and the first open houses regarding these pending plans are coming up in early November. We look forward to learning more about this project, and if/how it will incorporate permanently deed-restricted homes for locals. We’ll see you there!
