We have a new board member!

We are excited to announce our new board member, Anahi Morillon!

Here’s a note from Ana, a local bilingual therapist in Jackson: “I came to Jackson when I was 5 years old and since then have loved this town; however, I quickly noticed there was a lot to do to make it better for everyone else. For this reason, I pursued a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Wyoming. During my time there I created a student organization called Forward Wyoming (which is now Better Wyoming) to raise awareness for voting rights. I have also worked with Juntos, an organization that created the “Know Your Rights” training. This training allowed undocumented people to understand their rights and provide legal services.

Currently, I’m a substance abuse therapist at Curran Seeley Foundation and created my own private practice. I’m a mom to three crazy little furry babies (Archie, Louie, & Georgie) and I enjoy binge watching the latest crime docuseries on Netflix. I’m humbled to be considered to be part of an amazing organization such as ShelterJH.”

We are so excited to work with you, Ana!

Annual Meeting

Thanks to our devoted members who made it out to our Annual Meeting last week ! We enjoyed seeing everyone in person, snacking, conversing, and planning our pursuits for 2023.

If you couldn’t make it, check out the recording here, and we’ll see you at the next one!

Thanks to Orijin Media for the A/V assistance and to the @oldwilsonschoolhouse for hosting us.

Thank you for your EOY donations!

Thanks to all of you for your continued support as we wrapped up our end-of-year fundraising. We especially appreciate members who made an effort to give again and encourage friends to join by the end of 2022. If it’s time to refresh your membership dues, please do, and they’re always pay-what-you-can! Your dues go towards ensuring we can remain on top of emerging and current housing issues, educating our community, shifting the tide in local elections, and continuing our role fighting for housing security in the Tetons.
