We bid farewell to Mckenzie this month
We are so grateful to have had Mckenzie on our board this year! Mckenzie shared her statewide connections and fundraising experience with our organization, in addition to her passion for housing locals locally. Thanks for being such an ardent supporter of ShelterJH for so many years, and for stepping up as a board member.
We wish you the best in your new endeavors in the Pacific Northwest, and please visit us soon!
The election is right around the corner!
ShelterJH’s candidate questionnaires are now live on our website! Make sure to read the candidates’ responses to inform your vote and get to know where they stand on local housing issues. These questionnaires are a part of our thorough vetting process forming the basis for our endorsements.
Our forum will also inform our endorsements—a huge thanks to local candidates and especially our audience who joined us this month for our candidate forum! Your dedication to affordable housing in our community made it a powerful night of discussion and vision for the future.
Early voting opens on October 8, and we’ll be releasing our endorsements in early October!
ISO board members!
Passionate about keeping locals local?
ShelterJH is looking for dedicated board members to join our team! No experience necessary—just a deep commitment to affordable housing and advocating for our community.
Serving on our board is a great way to connect with your neighbors, learn about housing policy, interact with local decision makers, gain board experience, and make a real impact! Interested? Email us for more information: info@shelterjh.org.
Thank you to our Old Bill’s supporters!
Thank you to everyone who supported us during the Old Bill’s giving season! We sincerely appreciate your donations, social media posts, and conversations with neighbors. Funds from this campaign will be used to invest in our staff, advocacy work, and community education. A HUGE thank you to the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and all of the co-challengers for making this vital Jackson Hole event a smashing success!
It takes all of us to create a community we can live in, and we’re so grateful to all of you for being a part of this journey. We look forward to connecting with each of you soon.
Continue to show your support for the 90 Virginian Lane project!
The Town Council and County Commission are discussing the future of the 90 Virginian Lane project. Like last month, we are still encouraging locals to show their support for this project so we don’t lose momentum. It’s crucial that we reach out to our Jackson Town Councilors and Teton County Commissioners to express our support.

Dear local elected officials,
I am writing to express my strong support for the 90 Virginian Way Project. This project is a crucial step in addressing our community’s housing crisis by providing affordable, stable housing for many locals. It is essential that we honor the process and maintain the planned density to ensure affordability for as many hardworking locals as possible. [housing is important to me because… insert personal sentence here!] Please continue to support this project and help us create a better future for all residents of Jackson.
Thank you for your leadership.
