OBFR thank you
We are so appreciative of the donations we have received during Old Bill’s season! Every year, we never cease to be amazed by the generous, consistent, and meaningful support our community shows. Thanks to all of you, we continue to support our staff to be your representatives at the town and county level and share educational opportunities with the public. Onward!
Upcoming Transportation event
Our Road to Housing event is tomorrow, 9/30 at 5:30pm at St. John’s Church! Solutions to the housing shortage, traffic, and transit mobility needs are not mutually exclusive—in fact, they are interdependent. Join Teton County Transportation Manager Dr. Charlotte Frei and ShelterJH to learn about the history of auto-centered development and the opportunities we have to house people and not cars. Food and Spanish interpretation will be provided, and please contact us if you need childcare.
This event is supported in part by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
Keep local decisionmaking local!
Whether it’s housing mitigation or the Affordable Flat Creek Apartments, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus and its associates have consistently targeted pro-housing policy enacted by democratically-elected Town Councilors and County Commissioners in Teton County. While the housing shortage is affecting every corner of the state, each community in Wyoming faces unique challenges, and Wyomingites deserve to determine how problems are addressed in their own region.
We believe in empowering communities to shape their own housing solutions. We stand for:
- Protecting housing mitigation that brings in critical revenue to support deed-restricted housing while sustaining businesses
- Making zoning and rezoning decisions locally
- Collaborating across political lines to preserve housing for locals
- Enacting policies and making decisions by governmental bodies that are connected most closely to residents on a town and county level
Join us and keep local decisionmaking local!
