November 2024
Election successes!
Thanks to the hard work and commitment of our volunteers and supporters, all five of our endorsed candidates were elected and the property tax measure we encouraged a “For” vote on passed! These are huge steps toward a more just and affordable Jackson Hole, and we are grateful for everyone who helped make these wins possible.
These wins are a powerful reminder that even in uncertain times, local action can bring about positive change.
Congratulations to all of the candidates who stepped forward to run for public office—hats off to you for working to serve the public!!
Join us at our end-of-year celebration on Tuesday!
This Tuesday, December 3, at 5:30pm, we are inviting members and supporters to join us at Kalu (140 N. Cache Street) for an end-of-year celebration. We’ll be showing our appreciation for our volunteers, enjoying beverages, celebrating our 2024 wins, and sharing a special announcement. Food, beverages, and Spanish translation provided! Please reach out for childcare so we can arrange it in advance. See you soon!
Legacy Lodge TDM passes
This month, the County Commission unanimously approved (with Commissioner Macker absent) a transportation plan to allow Legacy Lodge to open to local workers. The plan outlines measures to enhance public transit access and improve pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure in the area to create more transportation options for future residents. We are one step closer to welcoming more locals to Rafter J—another win for the year!
Housing rules and regulations comment period open now
Every year, the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department updates the regulations that govern our public deed-restricted housing supply. The staff has made recommendations for updates with guidance from our town and county elected officials. Check out the proposed changes here and get your comments in by November 30—we submitted ours this week!
